How to Join Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for server;
  • High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business and community life;
  • The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons unified in the ideal of service.

Rotary is a global network of community volunteers. Its members are business and professional leaders who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

Rotary is for you if:

  • You are interested in meeting and interacting with business people in your community who share your interests and civic pride.
  • You are interested in helping your friends and neighbors to improve the community in which you live.
  • You want to “give back” to the community by active participation.
  • You believe that there are those in your community, less fortunate who you could help, in only you could reach them.
  • You believe in helping to foster a healthy, save and educated world population.

What are the requirements:

  • Rotarians should be business owners, professionals, managers, retirees or community leaders.
  • Rotarians must attend sixty percent of the meetings to remain in good standing. To maintain this percentage they can attend meetings at any Rotary Club throughout the world or by participating in a Rotary-sponsored project.
  • Rotarians should participate in a minimum of one committee within their club.

How to Become a Rotarian

Membership in a Rotary club is by invitation only. Clubs meet weekly for fellowship & present interesting program speakers dealing with topics of local and global importance.
The real work of Rotary takes place before and after the meetings when Rotarians plan and carry out a remarkable variety of humanitarian and educational service projects that benefit people in their local communities and around the world.
